The Web: Living up to its potential?

Have you ever had a simple question about a company and had absolutely no luck finding the answer on their site? I was reminded of how often this happens just now when I tried to find out when the Fall TV season starts. A simple question, right? Since most of the shows I watch are on NBC, I checked NBCi.com first. They have a Fall preview page with a list of shows, but no information on when they start showing.

TVGuide.com wasn’t much help either. Their preview page has a schedule that covers all stations, but not a specific date in sight. CBS has their own preview schedule too, but no specific dates.

Finally, I found the information I was looking for. Kudos to ABC. Their preview schedule actually includes the dates the shows premiere. I’ll have to start watching more of their shows. The only thing I enjoy on ABC lately is the vanity cards that flash at the end of Dharma and Greg.

There’s either a deeply meaningful insight about the wasted potential of the Web here, or I just watch too much TV.
