Best of April Fools 2009

Every year on April 1st, sites all over the Web take a break from serious business to post believable, yet strange, announcements. Here are a few of my favorites this year:

Keep it up, guys! While these were pretty funny, none of them quite beats Google’s big announcement five years ago. Hopefully next year they’ll all come up with some better comedy.

Actually this one “CNET spent four months warning Windows users about a virus that turned out to have no impact at all.” is kinda funny :)

Now days people are so panicked when the hear VIRUS or TROJAN, that they become insane!

As an ex-programmer I had written few, that had just the sole purpose of just messing around, or as a prove that it’s able to bypass the antivirus securities

  9. I greatly appreciated this post, I always enjoy looking for april fools pranks and this was the best list I was able to find during my search today.

I’m nearly having as much fun reading the comments from people wanting a SEO boost than the links themselves.

I liked the Texas Senate & Windows Vista one. I’m always happy to see any limit on the number of copies of Windows sold. Pity it wasn’t real :(

I would love if Microsoft made an iPhone version of Office. The current editing software just sucks. I’m a finance major though, so I don’t really feel like having to relearn how to use Excel on the iphone.
